Kroger trip 10 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 3
No posts in this forum yet...so I guess I'll go first.

I did pretty well at Kroger's this week...even though I had a useless cashier who only scanned half my coupons-not sure if it was out of spite or laziness, but I was ticked.

I stocked up on Smoked Sausage and Bacon since it was $1. I also, got several free Nesquik and Propel with the tear pad coupons. The soup at hand and microwaveable Campbell's were a pretty good deal .50 after coupons, I got a few of each ...I like to have soup for lunch sometimes. Boneless chicken was $1.77lb, I only got one to put on the grill last night (Got some for $1.49 last week, but it was frozen not fresh.) I even had Kroger home mailed coupons for pop tarts and sour cream which were in the 10/$10 sale got them for 45 cents each.

Before discounts, my receipt total was $85 worth of groceries for $29, not my best ever, but okay. Then, I got $3.55 back for the unscanned coupons, so it was $25.xx. I spent another $15 at Aldi's to get a few basics that weren't on sale anywhere this week. So, $40 for the week, including stocking up on the meat.

I still need to run to Marsh for some really cheap frozen veggies and free pizza rolls. I'll only spend a buck or two there. I have a pretty big stock pile on veggies already and dd eats too many pizza rolls, so I don't go crazy on those.

How did ya'll do this week???

I dont do as well on groceries as I do on Personal and household supplies (CVS and dollar general couponing) but I do get excited when I manage to get items for free-30cents after coupons.

I did see a little stand in one of the aisles that had boxes of jello in them for sale, and it was a tear pad. Recipie booklet and it has 2 coupons one for jello and the other on dole fruit cans. There is also a new light texas toast out in the freezer and it has a peelie sticker on it for 0.55 and there is a bottle of syrup I can't quite remember the name...North something also has a peelie of 0.75.

Cool, I love peelies! I never swipe all of them, but I love to grab a handful each visit. I finally found some of the K20 singles so that I could us the free peelie coupons. I have had those coupons for a month or more and couldn't find it in stores anywhere until this weekend!! When I see the Propel tearpads, I go crazy. They seem to put them out here in all the convenience stores at once and I go from store to store and run in and take as many as I can before a customer or clerk sends the evil eye my way. LOL Propel is my drink of choice and I actually used to pay for them before the tearpad q.

Maybe it is just my area, but I can't seem to find peelies or tear pads hardly anywhere. That or someone swipes them all before I get to them...LOL!

That's a bummer! I have never seen a wine tag here. Sure wish I could find some of the ones for $$/off meat, produce and cheese. That would be awesome.

In KS they don't sell liquor in the stores like CVS and such but if I cross the border to Mo they do. I bet they have wine tags over there. LOL.
