Printables Matched To CVS Ad Week Of 07/08 Print E-mail
    Written by cent_saving_mom
    Sunday, 06 July 2008
There is some real potential for some steals and deals this week, some pending what coupons are in your newspaper inserts current and previous. Here's a brief rundown on some of the steals and deals I've found by doing a brief look at this weeks ad. Pert Plus is 2 for $5 this week and there are some $2 (any) and $3 Botanical Extracts coupons out there. On the downside I have not confirmed that CVS carries the new Pert Plus 2 in 1. If you do happen to find it keep your eyes peeled for TMF peelies. Also some regions who receive an early edition are reporting $1 off any Dawn, which would make it free and a money maker after the ECB offer. Planters peanuts are on sale this week and there are a plethora of $3 off Planters Nuts when you buy 3 Kraft, Nabisco or Oscar Mayer products. Playtex tampons will be $.99 after ECBs. Powerade is BOGO Free making it free if you use the $.75 coupon on the free item if your store allows. So there are some definite good deals out there this week just not so many hot ECB producing deals. As always I will continue to update the weekly printables list so continue to check back for updates and/or additional coupons.

    CVS Ad 07/06 thru 07/12 Print E-mail

I see some improvement in the CVS ad this week. I know I'll try to go out and get the Pampers with the free bottled water and the Dawn dish soap. Of course my husband will say our need for additional dish soap is non-existent, but anytime CVS has ECBs on it I try to pick some up. Even if we don't need maybe my someone in the family will when they visit next to raid my stash. Yes I'm pretty open to letting them come and take pretty much so anything they want. Of course my TP, Wipes, and Diapers stashes are always off limits. Ok now and then I'll toss my sis a few wipes but other than that my wipes stockpile is hands off! I sure hope I'm able to get out more and do some stocking up this week. I really need to accrue some ECBs, I'm down to whatever will print for my quarterly ECBs. YIKES!!! On a final note I just want to say that page three is missing from this preview, it is a photo page so I do not believe there were any ECB deals listed on it.

Printables Matched To CVS Ad Week Of 6/29 Print E-mail

I have decided this morning that I’ve got to stop shoving CVS receipts here there and everywhere in hopes that I will come back to them and at some point get my CVS Savings up to date. The fact that it’s after 2am and I just sealed an envelope with a receipt in it for a rebate that was never figured into my totals was really the straw that broke the camels back. While the totals are great to see it’s extremely time consuming for me to keep up with them and I keep missing out on rebates or running around at the last minute like right now to gather the necessary UPCs, Receipt, and MIR Form to get my rebate submitted on time. So I think I will be more successful at just tossing my CVS receipts into an empty wipes container and pulling the ones required for rebates and submitting them immediately. Heck it may even eliminate some of the clutter on and around my desk. I’m sure my husband would not mind that one bit because right now my desk is one giant eye sore. I’ll still post updates on the homepage of what my savings are but they will be from whatever amount is shown in my CVS Extra Care Account. Though I don’t agree 100% with those numbers it still provides enough raw data to calculate a percentage saved. I’m sure you all can understand and would rather I post hot deals and printable coupon lists oppose to taking the time to enter my personal savings. I will try to update the CVS Savings on the sidebar soon as well as well as update my rebates received total. This past week we received $52.96 back in rebates so that was a pleasant surprise! A large sum of the rebates received, $44.96, were from Bayer for Glucose Meters purchased months ago. I’d given up any hopes of receiving those so when TJ called me on Saturday saying that we got 4 rebate checks in the mail I was stoked! For those of you who took the time to read all of this you can find the CVS Printable list for this week by clicking read more.

    CVS Ad 06/29 thru 07/05 Print E-mail

I really hope that CVS pulls it together soon and we see those irresistible deals again. I see a few things this week that I'm interested in but I don't think I'd be disappointed if I missed out on something. To me the CVS ads have just been lacking what they used to have so I'm not making several trips to CVS each week and very rarely do I make trips to multiple stores now. Is anyone else feeling the same way?

Congrats Michelle, you won the first MTC Sweeps! You were the closest to the number I picked, maybe I shouldn't have picked so high for our first sweepstakes, especially only a one day sweeps. The number I picked was 112. Anyways congrats Michelle I'll be sending you the info now on the GC.

    July ECB Book Print E-mail

I must say I am quite disappointed in the July ECB book. There are only two free after ECB items and they are both feminine hygiene products. I'm sure you are all as excited as I am for that. I really hope they have some good weekly deals or it may be yet another extremely slow month for me at CVS. If you can believe it I actually splurged and let my dh spend all my ECBs yesterday to use one of my rainchecks on Huggies. Had I realized that the Duracell, Charmin, Bounty deal did not roll to this week I would have made a different shopping list for him but he was already gone when I noticed it was no longer on my receipt. Is anyone else low or out of ECBs too? I just can not find things that I need, there were some good makeup deals last week but I have 4 bags of Cover Girl here from WAGs that I'm still trying to sell. I guess before the end of June I best get my CVS fix in because I'm definitely not looking forward to these upcoming deals.

Printables Matched To CVS Ad Week Of 6/22 Print E-mail

I apologize for being late with the printables. I was all ready to finish the list up last night when my dh came upstairs fuming about a message he got regarding a post on Craigslist. If you haven't already read about it it's the post one below this. Now I wouldn't exactly call this week at CVS a super week, actually I'd probably consider more of an opportunity to finish up any monthly deals you have not done yet. I know I have plenty yet that I can get as I've been slacking off on my CVSing. I know top of my list is more of the free after ECBs Listerine Smart Rinse. My son loves this stuff and well I've found myself using it more frequently then the Crest Pro-Health because it doesn't have that nasty mouthwash taste. The only downfall is one bottle does not last long at our house. As always check back to the printables often as you never know when I will find more to add to the list. Or if you see something missing from the list please submit it via the CVS Coupon Submission Link.

Do You Know How Rude People Can Be? Print E-mail
    Written by cent_saving_mom
    Sunday, 22 June 2008
Yesterday Ethan was one of the 1000 kids who participated in the Pink Lemonade Brigade. We held his stand here at our house because when TJ called Walmart they said they required 2 weeks minimum notice to sign up and be approved to hold a charity sale. Ok no problem we live on a very busy street so we figured the stand would do ok out front. Crayons sent Ethan an awesome lemonade stand which he and Marissa decorated with our assistance in a "Squeeze The Lemons Out Of Cancer" theme. In addition to the stand Ethan was provided 120 cans of lemonade. Well yesterday was a super slow day for sales and after nearly 5 hours outside TJ and Ethan packed up the stand and came into the house. They made about $26.00 during the time they were outside, not great but not bad either. We still had a large quantity of lemonade left and the company did not provide instruction on what to do with left overs. So we figured we'd set the stand back up today to sell more, but with four kids and three being extremely cranky today that didn't work out. So TJ posted a simple ad on Craigslist to see if anyone was interested in the purchasing any of the remaining pink lemonade. The responses he received really have disappointed us. What really gets me is that I posted yesterday on CL about the stand and received no negative responses. In fact I even received a reply asking if there was somewhere in another county here in the metro to purchase the lemonade.
